I'm not a geneticist, but I would think the extent of genes that she shares with Fett is a lot more minimal than say the clones. I'd think she'd be okay. If the Imps staring making and releasing virus that didn't have a specific target, ie. instead of taking out just Fett in took out everyone similar to Fett, I would think it would go against common sense. If you're going to use something that deadly, you don't want it to get out of control.

If the virus managed to kill a large number of Hapan nobles just by having Isolder's DNA, then it's very likely it will be enough to kill Mirta. If I remember correctly they designed it to kill anyone related to Fett, not just him.

I forgot about the nobles. You're right, now that I recall, Allana was at threat. So Mirta is screwed. Sad

Mirta wasn't on Mandalore when the virus was released though.

No, but it's possible that the clones were.

I think all the clone descendants would be affected by the virus. Now, Venku (or Kad), with the Jedi and Jedi healer training, might have been able to fight it off.

My nervod brothers Ord'ika, Jaing, and Mereel have everything under control in regards to the virus, it has been dealt with. I really don't want to talk about Mirta that subject is a little close to home, and as a huge Karen Traviss fan; well let's just say there is complete disappointment for me on that front. Our clans will always remain strong regardless, because we do adopt so many who have a passion in becoming Mando'a. It doesn't matter who you are, or where you are from our culture, and lifestyle does find a home to many with similar aspirations.

It said in Invincible that Mirta can never go back to Mandalore. I wonder if Boba will be remembered as Mandalore the Exiled. A Mand'alor that can't set foot on Manda'yaim.

Welcome, Teck! And I think the whole virus thing is silly. Because had we not just resurrected Sintas before the virus was released? And if I'm not mistaken, will this not kill off Sintas, since the DNA was taken from Mirta? Stupid stuff. I never liked the idea of the virus. Evil or Very Mad

Yes; one of the few bad ideas Karen Traviss came up with. The Fett virus found it's origins in "Republic Commando: Hard Contact".

I think there just might be a standalone based around the Mandos, but I don't think it'll be about the ones you seek in particular.

Maybe; but then, Daala always struck me as a back-stabbing little b*#^h. I think she's more likely to use a targeted nano-virus or poison assault, introduced into the air scrubbers, or H2O system, of the Slave (what # are they up to, now, anyway?) to try and kill Mirta and Boba, herself. I don't think, given the fact that they have proven so difficult to kill so far, they'll be going down easily, if at all.

One thing that can be said for Jango... He did raise a survivor.

I was hoping to see them in FotJ (I don't really count Fett's minor appearance), but with only one book left, I doubt I'll see it happen. In future books, who knows? There still hasn't been a Mando author to replace Karen Traviss.

There are supposed to be Mandos in Mandorla so maybe Alex Irvine can carry on the torch.

Here's a wild idea. What if Kemp's upcoming duology is a set of books on Boba Fett? We could see the return of Mirta, and a wrap up to the virus. So far they haven't revealed any details on what his duology will cover. He's the new guy, and they did have a Boba Fett novel that got dropped.
