And I've heard several Hawaiians pronounce it ook-u-lay-lay, as opposed to you-ku-lay-lee, so that's how I say it. I figure if anyone would know, it'd be them. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

I tend to carry on with the word as normal, largely ignoring the apostrophe. I would just pronounce C'baoth kuh-BOWTH. With Mitth'raw'nuruodo, I just say Mith-raw-noo-roo-oh-doh. Cerrinea Master Joined: 09 Jun 2009 Posts: 1410 Actually C'Baoth is pronounced Sah' Bayoth. Got that from the audio excerpt Zahn read. Since he invented the name I guess that's pretty much how it's pronounced. And I usually add the apostrophe...unless it's just something really ridiculous. Which some of those Star Wars names are. Crash Override Master Joined: 22 Dec 2010 Posts: 1796 Location: Carcosa To demonstrate my terrible pronunciation, I've always pronounced "Rakata" as "rack-uh-tuh" rather than Rah-kah-tuh." And when I read Plagueis, I pronounced Tenebrous and Tee-nee-bruss, rather than Ten-uh-bruss. And I actually pronounced Plagueis properly, but then after hearing Luceno calling him Play-juss I started doing that in my head.
