So the Clone Wars movie has kicked things off for a new world of Star Wars. With it has come not one, not two, but three Hutts: Jabba, Rotto (Stinky), and Ziro. So what are your opinions on the Hutts? Did you like the way Jabba was portrayed? The way he was animated? The idea of him having a son? Did you like Stinky? Could you ever of imagined a Huttlet could be so cute, or disgusting? And just how badly did Uncle Ziro's voice annoy you?

:insert Hutt emoticon here:

Forget Jar-Jar, Ziro annoyed me much more. Confused Oh, his voice goes through my head.

Well I still haven't managed to see the movie, but I'll just go off of my impressions from the book. I actually liked the way Jabba was portrayed as a father. I thought I was going to hate that. And Rotta was okay for a character, though I almost found it disturbing to have the book hinge on him. Not that it was a bad thing, I just...it was harder for me to take it seriously, I suppose. I never did like the books where Jacen and Jaina were kidnapped as toddlers, either. But anyway...I didn't get to see or hear Ziro, but even his book self annoyed me greatly. I barely understood his purpose in the book (though I know there was one), and I guess will have to watch the movie to get a better idea. *shrugs*

Just so you know...

originally spoke in Hutt-ese, like Jabba and then he had a different sluggish voice just like Jabba, and then George one day was watching it and said ‘I want him to sound like Truman Capote.’ He actually said that and we were like ‘Wow!’ ”

And personally I can't help but look at Stinky and find him cute. Very Happy

Hmm...I suppose that will mean more to me once I've seen the film.

Yeah, Stinky was kind of cute. I'm just wondering if we'll read about him (maybe in Fate of the Jedi) as a full-grown Hutt?

Yeah, the Fate of Stinky, *giggles*, I don't see them making that book, but it is a good question. No one has ever mentioned Jabba's son before. The only logical reason (or way to retcon it believably) is that Stinky died or everyone thought he was dead. And if he didn't die, and stayed out of the lime light, building up some secretive empire, the question would be "what's he want to do with it?" Cause if he's been in hiding this long, then he's either got something very big planned (like trying to kill Leia and Luke for killing his daddy) or he doesn't ever want to attract any attention.

Ahsoka's fate is another mystery as well. Is she doomed?

I thought it was cool how they got along as master and apprentice. Not in Ep.3, eh? There some possibilities that she could've survived. (Resigning, disappearing etc.)

Darth Judicar, no one said it wasn't for kids Wink Star Wars itself was created for children, but the magic goes through the years.

I actually don't mind it being slightly juvinile. It's a refreshing change, if you ask me. Now back to the Hutts...

Yes people, stay on topic. Slimy, smelling Hutts, more of them.

Now one interesting tid bit I picked up while scouring wookieepedia is that Jabba had a will and it specifically stated he had no children. Now either this means Rotta died at some point, or Jabba is keeping his son's existence secret and thus faked Rotta's death. Of course they could always retcon it. They've already retconned Huttlets being stuck in their parent's pouch for 50 years. Apparently Jabba wanted his son to "experience the galaxy." Of course Jabba did mature faster than most Hutts and I think Stinky is 10 years old during the movie.
