That should be a good read. I almost wish that was the final cover art. I love that picture of Yoda.

I'd be quite happy with that as a final cover actually.

Now, exactly how complete will this "readers guide" be.

I expect all Del Rey and Bantum novels will be included, but what about the old WEG stuff? Comics (any company), games? There's a lot of material out there, exactly how much will they include?

Sounds like a great idea but Id imagine they would have to issue updates every year or so. Great starting point reference for new readers

Technically with an average of 12-15 books per year, we'll need an update every year anyway no matter how much they limit themselves.

That said, the basic idea is VERY good. I however, would prefer for them to be as complete as possible, and include at least some summary of all media. I actually keep an xcell spreadsheat of everything in order, but an official version would be nice too.

I really need to put that thread up here as well, used to keep it on TOS, and haven't gotten around to moving it over.

They've release the official cover, and I must say, it's beautiful. Done by Paul Youll (cover artist for X-wing series).

I like all the covers that you can see in the picture - like Darth Plagueis hidden in the bottom left, one of the YJK books on Yoda's left, Vector Prime on his right.

I see the original SW novelization, Heirs of the Force, The Mandalorian Armor, Vector Prime, and Darth Plagueis.

I must say it really is quite a beautiful cover, though I'm afraid that's not enough to persuade me to buy it.

I want that as a poster. Would be a great picture to hang on the wall.

I love the cover, but that vintage comic with Vader on it in the bottom left sticks out like a sore thumb.

Same here, love the cover, but I'll let this one slip seeing that the content doesn't do it for me and there are quite a few comics and novels I still want to buy.
