Pronunciation - How do you say it?

Well, I say "ten-EB-rus" and "RA-kuh-tuh".

But the "russ" isn't like bus, more like Fus in Fus Ro Dah. Or Push. Like a short oo.

I pronounce 'Avinoam Arelis' as:

'A (like 'And') - vih - no -am' 'A( like 'And' again) - rey - lis'.

The real world pronunciation of 'tenebrous' is 'Ten-uh-brus', but it might be changed for a name, I don't know.

Oh, I understand where you're coming from. I just can't comprehend how the author managed to mess it up when it's clearly pronounced in the film. Confused

Is Darth Andeddu really pronounced Darth Undead-u? If so, that's really dumb. I thought it was more like And-uhd-dew.

I do not put stock into audio book pronunciations considering that the original Heir to the Empire audio book pronounced the Executor as execute-er instead of exec-yoo-tor.

I'm sure I've been pronouncing it incorrectly. I've been saying it 'an-deathy'. This is because I'm used to thinking oddly spelled words with a dd are Welsh in origin (in the Welsh tongue, dd is pronounced th, and u is ee). But I often correct myself by saying, 'an-dead-dew'. Which might be just as wrong.

I doubt it's really intended to be 'undead', though. More likely to be ahn-dead. Like Han.

I've been pronouncing it A(E)nd-dad-dew. Didn't even thought about Undead-u until now.

I'm thinking the audiobook pronounciation is wrong then. I can't conceive "And" somehow being pronounced "Und."

I usually call him Darth Tragus, like the part of your ear. I just think it's funny for some reason.

How about Bacta? Is it back-ta or bock-ta? Star Wars needs to stop confusing us with the long and short A's.

Ta'a Chume? I say it Taw-choom, but that doesn't seem right.

I pronounce Yuuzon Vong as yoot-zun. Vong would sound better as vawnj, but I always say it as vawn-gh, which sounds pretty stupid.
