Well, I'll get it eventually. I'm not really exited for the book yet, but I interrested.
I guess I'll wait to see what others think about it and than decide where to put Scourge on my wanted list. (which is still way to long)
That said, the last excerpt did peak my curiosity instantly. But than again, it's supposed to, of course Smile

I read the excerpt for this book that was in Apocalypse (you might still be able to find it in the Amazon preview or in one of the other numerous excerpts out there). Anyways, it seemed interesting. The main Jedi guy is very underpowered, so it's a big change from what we typically see in Star Wars books. Usually the Jedi kick butt with ease.

I'm probably going to get this. Hutts and not-too-uber-crazy-powerful-Jedi. I like. Hopefully it'll be one of those "minor events, while having big risks and possible outcomes on the rest of the Galaxy" books, like Darth Maul Shadow Hunter.

And Skuldren, is the excerpt only in Apocalypse? Because the Amazon page doesn't have it.

These first-page-of-multiple-chapter excerpts are a bit weird. I think I liked the first two chapter excerpts better. Or just the prologue. Stuff like that acts as a better teaser/primer.
