So I've griped before how I lacked the inspiration to write a novel. I've always wanted to and, although I've had vague ideas, the raw material was simply not there.
Recently, however, one of those vague ideas went into fruition and the inspiration is coming fast and furious. The idea is for a dystopian novel and, not surprisingly it deals with controversial topics. Because of this, I might just hide my novel under a rock once I'm finished with it.
The funny thing is, writing a controversial, dystopian novel isn't what I really want to write, but I feel compelled to because it's the only idea that is currently working. I still want to write stories for children about knights, but like I've said the inspiration for that just isn't coming. If anyone gives me a hard time about my novel, I'll just blame the Muses. "Hey, I wanted to write a story about knights!"
Either way it feels great to have story ideas finally starting to flow.
Where sky and water meet,
Where the waves grow sweet,
Doubt not, Reepicheep,
To find all you seek,
There is the utter east.
