Ooohhh, I'm loving the name. And I like Elaine Cunningham. Sooo...I'm excited to see what this might turn into. I wonder when it'll take place?

I have a feeling it will be another Jaina Solo story post-LOTF focusing and her and her training.

Well that wouldn't be too bad, seeing as I really like Jaina and it would be a single book. I'd like to see her get her life straightened out and find a purpose. Or at least choose a guy. She's in her 30s and still undecided on such a thing...it was okay when she was teens to early 20s, but this is just ridiculous. So a book about her would be really welcome, I think. Or at least to me.

I can't argue. I'm a fan of single character driven books so if it is, I'm all of for it. We actually could benefit from one book for her and another for Ben.

Jaina would be the obvious choice to write a book about. We've already got post LOTF books coming out for Han, Leia and Allana, and another for Boba Fett. The only other people you could maybe write it about are Luke and Ben.

Or...or... it could maybe be a KOTOR book? We haven't had practically any novels in that era.

That would be really awesome, now that you mention it. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it. But then...I do tend to get excited easily enough when it comes to Star Wars. Smile

It would be interesting to see what they focus the book on if they do it in the KOTOR-era. Zayne's story is ongoing in the comics. Revan's story is pretty much on hold until they reveal his identity in the comics. So it would have to be one of the lesser developed characters. Bastilla? Carth? The Outcast? Darth Nihulus? Kreia?

I would totally love to see a book about KOTOR-era Mandalorians during the Mandalorian War. But maybe that's a little bit out there.

Seeing as I love the Mandalorians, that would be great. But I'd also like to see a book about Carth.

I'm not sure how much you could really do with Carth... He wasn't really that important until he met up with Revan on Taris. And after that he becomes a fleet admiral (as seen in KOTOR 2). I'll admit I'd be pretty dissapointed if this book is about Carth Onasi.

Yep. I would be very, very happy with a Jaina book and a Ben and Luke novel. As for it being Kotor, with Elaine's SW writing past I'd have to say Zannah is someone she'd write about, but I have a felling it's a standalone post-LOTF novel... or, at least I can hope.

Somthing KOTOR about the Jedi Covenant and the prophecies and all that would be interesting... but I agree with SOS: This is most likely post LOTF-stuff. That seems to be the direction they're going with the standalone novels.

Maybe this book is set at the same time as Millennium Falcon, so the two books are happening simultaneously. Just a thought . . .

The only problem I have with Jaina novel is that this comes out a month after FotJ 1. A post-Invincible, pre-FotJ novel about Jaina might not make much sense as it would explore territory that would have to be explained in FotJ too.

Even when Cunningham's only SW novel to date is Jaina-centric, she might be writing about utterly different subject this time.

What if it's about Jagged Fel or even the mysterious disappearance of Zekk? Smile

Sorry, just throwing out my random crazy thought for the day... Maybe it's a book about Tahiri, and the consequences of her actions during the LotF era?
