Ever tried the Jung-Myers-Brigg typology personality test? I just tried it and found it very enlightening.
Here's the link:
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
My personality type is INTJ.
Famous INTJs:
-C. S. Lewis (!)
-Bruce Wayne (from the Nolan movies)
-Stephen Hawking
-Mr. Darcy
-Jane Austen
-Friedrich Nietzsche
-Gandalf the Grey
-Sir Isaac Newton
-Lewis Carroll
-Sherlock Holmes
I've heard that INTJs make up approximately 1% of the population ( ) so it's no wonder I feel like Lewis books were made for me.
Some common INTJ traits:
-Logical thinkers, trusting reason over feelings
-Natural leaders, but often slow to take lead
-Finds busy social environments (clubbing!) uninteresting or uncomfortable
-Intensely loyal
-Becomes impatient with overly-emotional people
-Tends to struggle with pride (my Achille's heel )
-Never gives up on marriages (I find this interesting because, though I'm not yet married, there are few things that could make me feel more like a failure than a failed marriage)
-Tend to keep personal matters private
-Problem solvers
So there you have it. Keep in mind that these personality types are not set in stone. The traits I listed above are ones I can particularly identify with, but there were a few that didn't fit me. For example, INTJs tend to have little interest in the past whereas I'm a nostalgic sap and I love vintage books, furniture, culture etc.
