And of course, this is now known as the Nomi Sunrider novel.

Fixed the thread title Wink

I really liked the the old Tales of the Jedi comics, so I think it's pretty cool they're doing a Nomi Sunrider book. We really didn't get to see much of her since she grew up in between comics.

As for the title, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the Mandalorians or not. I wouldn't mind if it didn't have them, but I'll be happy either way.

Just to note...

mandorla — n

Also called: vesica (in painting, sculpture, etc) an almond-shaped area of light, usually surrounding the resurrected Christ or the Virgin at the Assumption [dictionary.com]

It will have Mandos, Irvina said that in an old interview. But that doesn't mean the title relates to them.

Well now that I know there are Mandos in it, then I'm casting my vote for a female Mandalore named Mandorla. Or a really cool Mandalorian ship named Mandorla.

I'd been wondering. Why am I not the least surprised?

This is disappointing. I was actually looking forward to this novel, I loved this era of the EU and now its pretty much being pushed back further into nothingness. It now feels like more of a prequel to the KOTOR era that is culminating in this TOR game. Too bad, I thought Nomi Sunrider was awesome.

Yeah. Too bad.
I was really interrested in this novel, I wonder if whatever replaces this novel will get me just as interrested...
On the other hand I can kind of see why this could happen. However great TOTJ is it was published a long time ago and both the era and Nomi Sunrider probably aren't as well known to a lot of potential readers as a lot of other stories they can come up with. Still, it's too bad that tis great era isn't expanded on more. (Unless they'll write something instead of Mandorla that's still set in the same era)

This is very disappointing. I'll be writing an article summarizing my thoughts for EUCantina. Suffice it to say, I am not amused.

Very disappointing indeed. Sad
I'm begining to believe that the name Sunrider is cursed when it comes to SW.

I looked at the Nomi Sunrider page on the Wook, and there was a bit about legal issues; will someone please explain them to me, the Wook just said their was legal controversy surrounding the name Sunrider, but not why.

Could it be because of this?

The name Sunrider has a registered symbol.
