Revan 2!

EDIT: Actually, I've heard Bastila will be a main character in this. Not sure if that's true or not, though.

It takes place after the game, so none of the KOTOR characters have a shot at appearing except for HK or Revan. But since Revan is already the subject of a flashpoint in the game, it's probably gonna focus on someone like Satele.

Star Wars Books has update saying the outline is done. I wonder if this might be a post-SWTOR book, a canon ending for the game.

I would think they might wait a bit longer before having an ending to the game, as the game won't have been out a year by the release. I could definitely see it as a continuation of Revan, although it would be great to see some other characters as well like Bastila, Satele, Darth Jadus etc...

The game's class storylines have endings to them, and there's only one because light/dark alignment doesn't affect the ending. So I wouldn't expect that the book would be an ending to the game, but it might be an ending to either the second war or the Sith Empire itself.

I was kind of hoping that the Sith Empire would exist to form continuity with the Sith in the New Sith Wars. I suppose that theoretically speaking, that would be the case no matter what since Darth Ruin is supposed to unite all the miscellaneous Sith cults worshiping Revan, Exar Kun, the Mecrosa Order, and presumably any holdovers from the Sith Empire should it collapse, but it would be cool if it existed as an entity like the Imperial Remnant until that time.

More info just confirmed:

STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC: ANNIHILATION. Republic agent Theron Shan and his Twi’lek compadre, Teff’ith (from Dark Horse Comics’ STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC: THE LOST SUNS) must contend with a Sith Empire counter-attack against the Republic, spearheaded by the lethal apprentice of Darth Malgus. Satele Shan and Jace Malcolm co-star in what will be a fast-paced and tension-fraught tale based on the award-winning video game from BioWare and LucasArts.

This is disappointing. I wanted resolution to the Revan Foundry flashpoint. This, however, may suffice. As long as its better than the Revan novel I'm good.

I thought Karpyshyn did a really good job with the Exile in Revan, and now that I think about it, he does a very good job at writing strong female leads. So I'm anxious to see what he can do with Satele in a novel.

Plus we'll get to see him tackle Malgus.
