Iron Man 2 was instantly forgettable, if not terrible. I like Don Cheadle, but it was stupid that they replaced Terrance Howard as War Machine, he was better. And they made children's t-shirts that had Mickey Rourke with exposed nipples. That should be a crime.
I'm pissed at Marvel Studios AKA. Disney because we are never going to get a Silver Surfer movie. |
Apparently, Terrence Howard wanted too much money. He made more money than Robert Downey Jr. during Iron Man 1. So they dropped him in favour of someone less expensive. And apparently they did it very badly (Terrence Howard learned that he was dropped by reading it online or watching Entertainment Tonight, something like that).
I enjoyed Iron Man 2, but admit that it wasn't as good as the other one (or as good as Thor, Captain America, or The Incredible Hulk).
Also, we did get a Silver Surfer movie. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It wasn't great, but was 100 times better than the first Fantastic Four movie.
I'm the kind of guy that likes almost all comic book movies. In some cases because of excellent stories (Watchmen, Iron Man 1, Captain America, etc.), and in other cases for mindless action fun (Punisher, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, etc.) Even if a movie is "bad", it can still be fun to watch for the great action sequences and terrible dialogue. _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours.

It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.
The year is 2261.
