Cheers, mate. In that case, I can only surmise that there was some sort of field that prevented such acts. That would explain how Anakin and Ahsoka weren't crushed, too (I can understand the Gungans not being crushed, as they probably gained the ability to go to the ocean floor through time).
Still trying to figure out the bends thing. Maybe their suits had something to do with it.
