*edit: sorry, forgot this forum is about EU characters. Not that Wedge had much character in the films; pretty much everything beyond his name was developed in the EU. I've written it so I'll leave it up with the apology

I'm a Wedge fan; I'm hoping he'll make some kind of appearance in Mercy Kill as it's been too long without him.

He fascinates me because there's such a duality to his character. Han doesn't want to know the odds - he just throws himself into the situation. Wedge works out the odds first, but may well just throw himself in anyway. He's both a calculating engineer, and a stereotypical Corellian. Wedge has immense self-discipline (Jedi masters find him hard to read) but is also very passionate - quite capable of taking revenge. God help anyone who gets between Wedge and his family, whether it's the Yuuzhan Vong or the Galactic Alliance even.

Doesn't hurt that he's good-looking too, even if he doesn't think so himself. He's modest and unassuming in some ways, and never ambitious. However, he knows his own capabilities and worth. Wedge doesn't boast about his skills, or show off (except occasionally when flying), but he'll say when he thinks he's the best man for the job. As he gets older, he feels his record should speak for itself, and gets annoyed if anyone is disrespectful of what he's done. I love the moment in 'Exile' when he tells Jacen that he (Jacen) should know that he (Wedge) wasn't behind the Corellian attack on Hapes 'because it failed'. Jacen doesn't argue with him...

After Apocalypse I want more Tahiri also. I always want more Fett. And I'd also like to see books about New Order Jedi who haven't been getting much attention.

Rotate that "New Order Jedi" around to make "New Jedi Order" and there's the era characters I wanna see! Vong characters were great, and we haven't gotten a single one since the end of the series. Its time.

^ I wasn't sure how to say it. New Jedi Order Jedi sounded redundant. Razz

I'd like to see more of Raynor. Saying that he probably got killed off in Apocalypse, which I haven't read yet.

More Jaden Korr and Kyle Katarn. More Kyp and Horn (who just moped around the whole time in FOTJ.) More of all the Jedi except Cilghal, who we've seen a lot from and is kind of boring. I can also do without Zekk. I hope they killed him off.

I can't think of any significant post-NJO females, other than Tahiri. Less Jaina plz.

I second you on this, Raynar got really interesting in FotJ and I want more of him.

Raynar's cool and there's so many directions you can go with his character(especially considering how FOTJ ended). Zekk is a really interesting character. I'd hate to have him killed off, and I definitely want MORE Jaina. She's fun to read about Very Happy

I'd like to see more about Jag Fel, preferably written by Aaron Allston, who gives him more character than some of the other writers. I'd also like to see more of his family - did his parents and siblings make it to his wedding ? We don't know. His younger sister, Wynssa, was most interested in the GA when we saw her as a teenager during the Vong War, so it would be nice to think she actually got to leave the Chiss and meet more humans than just the handful in the Chiss Ascendancy.

Let me see.

More of the Unit. Or really any Jedi who isn't a Solo, Skywalker or one of the Masters.

More Rouge/Wraith Squadron. Or more books about pilots in general. The current books have focused on the Jedi too much.

The Fel family that didn't get exiled.

Let's have a story about a honest Moff. I think there was one at the start of the New Jedi Order but he hasn't been seen since and the Moffs have been slaughtered a couple of times since then so I doubt he's still alive.

And finally, let's have a book about Winter when she worked as an intelligence agent during the Rebellion.

#1 - I would most like to read about Streen. A novel or series dedicated to him would be pretty cool in my opinion. Something retro though. A book that would go back and tell his story...because it was overlooked by the EU.

#2 - Zuckuss & 4-LOM, another pair of characters that were left behind. They weren't like Fett. They were amusing, and they also had some interesting intellectual threads to them. 4-LOM longed to be able to meditate like Zuckuss could to find people. He wanted to connect to life, to the Force. It was a droid that strove for something more. Zuckuss on the other hand is a Gand whose best friend is a droid. He's not a very successful bounty hunter, but he tries. It would make for some amusing stories.

Beyond them, there are a lot of characters I enjoy reading about. Mostly I'd like to get away from the Big 3 and see more novels dedicated to the side characters.

I'd read that.

More Thrawn (of course). I'd like to see stories of Pellaeon during Palp's Empire.

More Hutts, mandos.

More bounty hunters. I'd like to know the story of Darmen's son. It was briefly touched on but, never elaborated on.

More Chiss!!! There are not any books that feature a Chiss in a leading role, besides Thrawn.
