Believe me, I'm in that boat with you. I've only recently started picking up some TPBs because I wanna have the collections and I just can't afford the games till they're used so this helps a lot with some of that to. In fact the only single issue comics I'm collecting is Dawn of the Jedi and KOTOR: War because I can only afford two... |
I feel you man. It was an 8 year project for me to buy up the Star Wars TPBs that I was behind on up until a few years ago.
I still don't have the majority of games simply because I don't have any non-PC platforms. *shrug*
On the comics, my suggestion would be start with the Omnibuses that are out now. They contain several times the amount of a TPB for only slightly more and will help you fill up your collection for a reasonable price with a fair amount of material. Several also include material that was never collected in TPBs or is long out of print.
PM me if you want any suggestions of where to start with the most important ones. I have every item published in North America in some form (baring some short stories from Hyperspace and Insider, though even most of those). Or ask around on the boards.
On a side note, I'm still waiting for my Book Stores to get this in. Apocalypse just arrived this week!! Thank the force I ordered online the day it came out.
