The Best of the Big 3

Luke Skywalker. Han Solo. Princess Leia. They have become household names and have each grown dear to our hearts. So, if you had to pick your favourite, which one would it be?

I can easily say my favourite is Luke Skywalker. I've always had a weakness for Knight in Shining Armour characters, and Luke definitely fits the description (minus the armour). It's also through his eyes that I first saw our beloved galaxy far, far away. I was right beside him as he gazed out at the twin suns of Tatooine, rescued Leia, blew up up the Death Star, brought down an AT-AT, learned how to be a Jedi from Yoda, discovered that Darth Vader was his father, played a key role in bringing down Jabba the Hutt, and finally redeemed his father and helped bring peace to the galaxy.

Leia, because she didn't need to be turned into a uberbadass to make a difference. And out of the three, she likely has made the biggest difference since she was running the New Republic for so long.

Han. As a child, I never liked Luke in any of the movies. In fact I despised him. Han was cool though. I will admit that Luke has grown on me in the books, but I've always liked Han.

Luke, because the kid in me always wanted to be him. A small town kid with a huge destiny.

Nowadays, I think I prefer Han more. But Luke will always be my original favorite, so he gets the vote.

Luke because, he re-established the Jedi Order. Without him, Mara Jade would not have come to terms with her past.

Han. Its easy to choose. He's a scoundrel, he's a gray hero, and when a woman says "I love you" he answers with "I know". Seriously, awesome.

As a child, when I watched the original trilogy, Luke came off as this whiny, annoying do-gooder. Throughout all three movies he was whiny. I never liked that, and never bonded with him until I read the books. He was less whiny then, and having Mara Jade helped balance out his character.

I liked Luke as he got older, he was too much like Ep. 2 Anakin in the OT.

I like Han the most, though.

I seriously expected to see Han in the lead when I voted.

I went with Luke. He was seven-year-old me's first crush. So, yeah.
