Just finished Apocalypse and thought Id add my two cents worth to the discussion.
Well what can I say? It was a better ending then Invincible was. The big news for me is hat Vestara Kai may join another Sith Order. It left the Ben story open. The tatooed Sith is Krayt? Is that correct? Ship is still functioning. I thought that would come to an end too.
Abeloth may or may not come back. Liked how she was defeated but I want her gone for good. Allana is now known to the galaxy. I can smell a kidnapping in her future.
Jacen turned to the darkside because of his vision of Allana. After all of Lukes and Bens travelling its a quick reveal.
Jaina finally married Jagged Fel. About time. That went on for too long. A lot of fighting. It seemed to drag on. Great action sequences.
Overall a 7. Cant wait to see whats next. All I will say only some of the threads were resolved. Its left it open for another epic.

I thought Vestara's conclusion was kind of anticlimactic.

Apparently it was decided early on that Ben could have a Sith girlfriend as long as it didn't work out, but they left her alive and I think its to have her be part of Ben's romantic leanings for awhile longer.

It was annoying. After the whole series was building up to something it just ends....... so unsatifying

Tatooed Sith is almost 99% certain to be Krayt. I mean, its open enough that its possible its not (espeically since all the One Sith are tatooed), but I can't see why they'd go with anyone else.

Vestara joining them brings up issues I mentioned before, but we'll see how it works.

Allana is definitely going to be a more central character in future books and kindnapping is basically a garuntee of happening at some point. No descendent of the Big 3 can avoid that. (sigh).

I havent read Legacy. I know bits about it. What I do know is that its set 100 years after ROTJ. FOTJ is set about 35 years after Jedi which means Krayt survives for at least another 60 odd years. It means he cant be killed off in any upcoming series which is annoying as well. Maybe it isnt him because in one way it wouldnt make sense as it hampers what future writers can do with him.

Having Allana being kidnapped seems to be inevitable and boring. The only exciting thing could be if the sith kidnap her and try to turn her to the darkside. There are female siths in Legacy arent there? What if one of them was Allana?

That would be interesting if predictable.

It's set roughly 130 years after ROTJ - but technically Allana could still be around in that time.

I don't think they'll use Krayt as a central character in a book before then - at least in the near future. However, I wouldn't mind if he turns into a bit of a Moriarty character, working behind the scenes though never directly seen. I'd like to see a contest of wills between him and Luke (or rather, Sherlock. Lukeock?).

I kind of liked the One Sith in Inferno, because they were in hiding. It was like Alema stumbled upon a Mafia hideout. I'm not sure how I feel about the One Sith being in the open.

I wouldn't exactly call the One Sith in the open. Only the Jedi know about them, and they don't know where they are. Btw, we don't either. Everyone seems to have missed that when Luke, Jaina, Ben and Vestara went there the One Sith weren't hiding on Korriban; they weren't there. That was clear from the scene with the Tuk'ata.

They have no clue how many Sith are out there or even what type of Sith they are. All they know is that Luke encountered a Sith who wasn't part of the Lost Tribe.

The Sith kept telling the Jedi "Not yet", implying he'd come for them later. And Luke met him beyond shadows and needed him to destroy Abeloth. Krayt is at least at Luke's power level at the moment and that has to be a significant threat, so he'll seek him. The hidden Sith are still hidden, but Krayt is very exposed and revealed a lot of himself.

Not necessairily, just because Luke and Co didn't happen to sense them means very little. This is Korriban we're talking about. The whole planet is a dark side nexus, and if the Sith simply worked to minimize their force presences, then they wouldn't be detectable in the slightest to the Jedi.

Add to that that in LOTF, Riptide and Crosscurrent the One Sith have been shown to be on Korriban and that suggests they're just very good at hiding. Also remember that Luke and Co weren't actually looking for them at the time, so it wasn't a point of focus.

It was hardly an exhaustive planetary search either. If they were on the other side of the world from a temple full of sith hiding their presence would they have sensed them? I would guess not.

When the Kesh Sith were hiding their presence for the ambush within the Jedi Temple the Jedi walked within a few feet of them and never noticed. So we DO know where thye are, but those in-universe do not.

It doesn't have anything to do with the One Sith hiding their presence or the darkness on Korriban intefering with the Jedi and Vestara being able to sense them. It has to do with the fact that Tuk'ata accepted Vestara as a Sith and had to obey her command. But they couldn't and they cringed before her because of their failure. They couldn't produce any Sith for her because there were no Sith on Korriban. Outside of the One Sith tacking up a note that read "Gtg, bbl" idk how it could be clearer.
