Obi Wan, hands down. Though second place goes to Padme's midriff.

I really liked Anakin in RotS, but was very indifferent about him in the first two. Padme was awesome in TPM, but derailed from there. Obi-Wan for me.

Really? I'm exactly the opposite. In Episode II he was kinda whiny, but not as bad as Ep III. But in Ep II he was really headstrong and overconfident. I guess I just don't like Anakin.

Obi-Wan for me.

Obi-wan was consistently good and one of the best acting performances in the prequels.

Padme started well in EpI as a strong character, but declined over the next two. Which is strange because Portman has actually gotten better as an actress over the same period (even if I don't like most of her movies, the acting itself was good).

Anakin never hreally was a good actor in any of them (whether it be Lloyd of Christianson (Sp?))He was tolerable in ROTS, but if that's the best I can say, it not a great reflection on his abilities.

I'm not sure why, but Padme doing her Queen voice really annoyed me.

Obi-Wan. He's gonna take this by storm considering the acting jobs of Natalie and Hayden

I know Portman has done several movies, what has Christenson done?

Padme was well written in E1 but, the writing was weak in E2 & E3.

Haydyn Christensen did an excellent job in a movie called Shattered Glass. Honestly, I was surprised at what a good job he did, but I'm going to give him kudos when he's earned it.

That one was awesome! Really both him and Portman are talented as heck, but in SW they were given nothing to work with and tossed in front of a green screen, its hard to perform that way.

Which should only serve to highlight what a truly excellent actor Ewan McGregor is. He took that bad dialogue and made it golden. I know a lot of people think Ian McDiarmid was the greatest, but it's so much easier to play a bad guy than make a noble hero believable and relate-able. Both McGregor and Guiness accomplished that with Obi-Wan.
