You should try and find a shop that's a little further away from you (in the nearest city). If you buy regularly from them (as in, preorder and subscribe through them), then they'll probably hold your books, so you can just swing in and get them whenever you can get there. If they really like you, they might even put some Free Comic Book Day issues in there too.
I get to my shop about once a month, and they held the Star Wars/Serenity and the Buffy/Guild comics for me. Because I'm a regular. They can count on anywhere between $12 and $80 per month, depending on the number of TPBs/Omnibuses available for preorder that month. I'm on a first name basis with the owner and the GM (so when I go in for a pickup and they're busy with a Magic The Gathering tournament, which they often run, they recognize me and give me my issues real quick). It's a great relationship to have. _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours.
It was the year of rebirth… the year of great sadness… the year of pain… and the year of joy.
It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.
The year is 2261.
The place: Babylon 5.
