My library doesn't have any of them (which is unusual Confused ), so I doubt I'll be able to see them in time, but I'm not going to turn down a night at the movies.

Just keep your eyes on the Hulk, he's the best part of the movie.

I have seen The Avengers and it was amazing. Absolutely loved it.

The internet, dude. They're great films. Buy or rent them on iTunes.

Just don't pirate them Reep. Pirating is only done by bad, awful people who have bad, awful desires to see movies without paying for them. Don't participate in that group of awful people who watch movies for free. They are bad.

Yes, pirates are bad, bad people who cost Hollywood millions each year. Millions the execs would have used to feed starving children in Africa, surely. We are very much against it. We are good citizens.

Yes, we're good people who fight the pirates. Those execs and actors and musicians and such who fight pirating desperately need the money because of the contributions they make to the world and society. Support our entertainment industry, they just don't make enough.

I saw the Avengers last night. It's was even better than X2. And now I must watch Iron 2, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor...

After some talk on here of the Avengers movie and the films that are under that Marvel umbrella, I watched Thor yesterday. It was quite good. Well shot, good music, dialogue, nicely realised. So I put in Captain America for watch later. I've seen Iron Man, though not IM 2, and neither of the Hulk films (though I may just skip the first). I think that's all the ones that tie in.

Oh, and I watched Red Riding Hood. Camera-work was a little iffy at times, but it was generally quite good. The identity of the wolf actually surprised me, so that's a plus.

I have a question. While watching Thor, I noticed that non-English actors were doing English accents (though Sir Anthony Hopkins retained his Welsh accent). I was then reminded of other films set in antiquity, which had the same set up (though not all). I thought that it's due to either a) the belief that British-English either sounds old, or is associated with the old times; or b) that people believe that American-English accents don't sound old, and so don't sit well in the older settings. Which I suppose makes sense. I'm not familiar with the evolution of the North American accent, but it most probably only came around a little over two centuries ago. Thoughts?

Hulk Smash...box office record.

Ps. Yeah, Yanks think Brits sound classy.

I dig Sir Hopkins in that role. I don't really care that Scandinavians are being played by Welsh, Australian, Irish, American and Japanese. Because after all white people are really just Ancient Aliens. I knew it all along.

I do want to clarify that when I said "The internet, dude", I meant iTunes or Netflix or some other legal service.

Movie rental may be a dead industry, but I do like the idea of renting a movie on iTunes. Just as long as your wifi doesn't crap out partway through the download lol.

Also: OnDemand services, like the ones many Cable and Satellite companies offer. A lot of them ought to have the various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies on there, due to The Avengers. It's like how they always put the Harry Potter movies back on there before the newest HP film gets released.

On the subject of accents: American's believe for some reason that every ancient race spoke the King's English, that's really the main reason for that. Its ridiculous but its easier for the actors than actually learning a new accent.

You could probably skip Iron Man 2. Well maybe not. I didn't like it, I thought it was cheesy and anti-climactic, but it did well and a lot of people did like it. On the Hulk films the second one is set up so that if you like you can completely ignore the first movie and see the second as a reboot or you can connect them. The first one was different and the shooting style was definitely semi-unique but other than that it was awful.
