This past weekend was the First Annual Ottawa Comic-Con. So much fun!

1. Great actor panels. I saw Lou Ferrigno (the Hulk), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark), John de Lancie (Q), and Brent Spiner (Data). Other actors present were William Shatner, Jamie Bamber, and Adam Baldwin.

2. Amazing costumes. A lot of comic book, video game, and anime characters. There was a professional Cosplay person doing a panel on costume making. The Steampunk Society was there to promote Steampunk. Adorable kid costumes (there was a little girl dressed as the TARDIS!). And the ladies...very good costumes on the ladies Wink

3. Massive trade show. Pretty much every comic book store in Ottawa and Montreal, as well as some from Toronto, came out to the Convention. I got a couple of books, a Star Wars tote bag, and some Wolverine cufflinks.

All in all, a great two days.

I haven't had a single bout of insomnia in two weeks. Now that I'm actually sleeping, I'm feeling more like me again.

I hear ya. I'm getting more sleep this week too.

Funny how my best sleep weeks coincide with weeks that The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are on hiatus Very Happy

I rarely have insomnia, but I constantly deprive myself of sleep. So many things and only 24h. A day should last at least 32 hours I say! Hm I wonder if petition for something like that exists.

I've been taking a class @ work on making presentations. The instructor said we had to give a presentation to pass the class but, it could be about anything we wanted.

So....I did mine on Star Wars!!! Everyone loved it. Some of the class members had never seen SW and, they said after my presentation that they were interested in seeing the movies. Very Happy

The planes that were a part of the Royal Jubilee military thing flew right over my house. It was quite amazing to see so many planes, and so many different types.

I had a great Long Weekend!

(a belated Happy Victoria Day to those who get it as a holiday).

Did a bunch of yard work, went to the beach, saw friends, played mini-putt, advanced my characters on The Old Republic by about 12 hours, etc. Good times.

^ What did you think?

Personally I though it was the biggest let-down in EU history.
