I think I'm in a somewhat unique position on the issue of feminism. I think that males and females are definitely different, and that women have a duty to raise their children, but I'm the furthest thing from a male supremacist. If I am "sexist" (which is possible), it is in women's favour. Females seem more virtuous and kind, and males get on my nerves way more often than females. I think feminists are misguided, because ultimately it seems like they hate femininity. They say that women should be more like men. "Raising children? That's not good enough!" I remember when the movie Bridesmaids came out and I read an interview with one of the actresses who was saying how liberating the movie was for women because now we can get drunk, use the c-word, and fart (just like men!). I remember thinking "Oh, great. Now both genders can act like idiots. Just brilliant."

Alice:Ralph, do you think if they'd asked me that question, I would have said that I was the boss?
Ralph: How could you? How could you, alice? You're a woman. Remember that. Women aren't bosses.
Men are bosses. Men. They do it all. Men run this world, alice. Men. They're responsible for the shape the world's in. Men.
Alice: Well, I'm sure glad to hear one of you admit it. |
