Why doesn't she have a thread? She is a expanded universe character.

I don't have any strong feelings either way. We'll see what they do with her when she's old enough.

I rather disliked Allana in her earlier appearances, but she's grown on me.

She's a pretty cool kid. I think she has the potential to be a real fan favorite.

Honestly, I think she's close to becoming a Mary Sue. She's not there soon and many of the things she's done hasn't gone well. But she still has done a lot more then I'd say a kid her age, even one trained by Leia and Han, should be able to do. In Legacy of the Force she was fine, but in Fate of the Jedi I think at times they brushed up against having someone with such limited skills and training being able to do too much.

That said, I still enjoy her personality and characterization. I would like to see some things traumatize her a bit more considering all she saw in such a short time during Fate of the Jedi.

The story about Ben withdrawing from the Force because of something that happened when he was young was one of the few things that I liked about the Dark Nest story. It actually showed someone with a bit of trauma and dealing with it.

^ Depending on where they take this, it could be done really well. However, if Allana has completely forgotten about how she shot grown men in the face by the next book, it will be just another gripe I have with Apocalypse.

Allan getting into mischief got real old fast. It's hard for star wars to do kid characters that aren't annoying.

Ben is still annoying and they even skipped over most of his childhood.

I find it really jarring when a book doesn't know what tone it's going for. One minute you have gritty battle scenes, and the next you have a nine year-old Mary Sue. Confused

That's probably why the violence in Apocalypse felt so wrong.

I don't she'll ever get any formal Jedi training. She'll either end up going DS in the future.
