I'm actually kind of happy its about Satele. I like her. Hopefully, unlike all the other TOR novels, it can find a character to tell a story about. Not a connection, not one that requires game knowledge, just one that works as a story.

I really like the idea for the new TOR novel. Hopefully, we find out who Theron Shan's father is (I think it might be either Jace Malcom or Harron Tavus)

A general question on the TOR novels:

Are they understandable for people who have not played the games?

I've read TOTJ and Darth Bane, so I have a general knowledge of the history in between, but don't know any of the characters.

Ya man Fatal Alliance is accessible and so is Decieved. I found Revan to be one that required a lot of knowledge of who he is to understand the respect he garners and then the Exile's story and game kinda come in the middle randomly so you have to do a wookiepedia search to get it all down.

I read Revan pretty much without any background knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found I actually seemed to enjoy it more than a lot of fans who'd played the KotoR games. At least it seemed that way from all the complaining I read over on the SWTOR forums at the time.

Lol I'm aware, Cerrinea, that I'm one of the few who hold this opinion Wink

A lot of the problem is that Revan is simply tossed aside in the end (which happened way too quickly) and the Exile is wasted as a wooden, personality-less character. I was frustrated by the whole ordeal, Revan wasn't even interesting. Canderous Ordo and Lord Scourge saved it for me, they were interesting to me above all else. And the Emperor. His backstory deserved a book in and of itself, and maybe they should have put that into a novel considering this is his only real appearance in the novels and he's the villain for 1000 years.

I'll probably read this, but I'm rapidly losing interest in TOR.

Me too. But now it seems like the book isn't about Revan at all.

Is it Malcom or Malcolm? Wookieepedia uses the Malcom spelling just like DK's last blog post.

Ok, that is the best cover we've gotten in a LONG time. I highly approve.

Confused All I see is another cover that is pretty decent. Is it the space battle that makes it amazing for you?

Are you playing the game?

Because if you aren't playing the game, then it could be argued that you never had much interest to begin with.

Because the TOR game is amazing.

Now, because of the blurb, I need to play the Jedi Knight story (because I understand that's where the "presumed death of the Emperor" line comes from).
