Narnia news at last!
Douglas Gresham (C. S. Lewis's stepson and keeper of his estate), has said that he still hopes to have more Narnia movies made, but legally there needs to be a seven year wait (this started two years ago) until a new studio can pick up the franchise. He hopes to make The Silver Chair next instead of The Magician's Nephew which is a huge plus for me. He also hopes to make the new films independently which is a double-edged sword: the script will be better monitered by Gresham and the Estate, but there will be a significant drop in budget. He also hopes to get Andrew Adamson back to direct, but he may be too expensive. Overall, I quite liked Adamson's films and, while they could have been better, I'd feel safer if he would direct than someone new. Please, no more Michael Apteds. _________________
