Anyone else watch History channels 3 part mini-series Hatfields & McCoys? I thought it was pretty good. Oddly enough, I liked Tom Berrenger's character the best.

I actually watched the whole thing last night. It was interesting. I didn't find anyone to be overly sympathetic, though.

Oh, they all definitely had flaws, but I enjoy flawed characters. Ruthless characters like Bad Frank and Uncle Jim kept me entertained.

Kevin Costner's character interested me. He came across as the better man at the beginning, but by the end, he'd descended into the same violence as everyone else.

I thought it was pretty creepy when he was going to shoot his own son. It didn't make any sense. There was one other part in the mini-series that also was very odd, the scene where some Hatfields are sitting back laughing while Devil Vance's brother is getting stabbed. You would think they would have stepped in at that point.

I noticed that, as well. I was wondering if maybe their view was blocked or something? They had been eager to fight a few moments before when the brother basically called them off.

It also didn't make a lot of sense to me why all hell broke loose when the son wanted to marry the Roseanna girl, because she was a McCoy, but no one seemed to care when he married the cousin later.

I ordered both Seasons 1 & 2 of "Downton Abbey" from Amazon on Tuesday. Season 1 arrived in the mail around lunchtime today; I started watching it shortly after lunch and blazed through all 7 episodes before bedtime.

All I can say is, WOW! What an amazing period drama. I absolutely love it. Can't wait for Season 2 to arrive in the mail!

So, I have finished Firefly and Serenity. Excuse me while I go and bathe in my own tears.

Firefly, Community, lots of shows get the shaft before their time.

Serenity was so good though Padme! I know why you felt that way though. Believe me, I do.

Yea. We call that "Whedon-style". Or "Whedonesque".

Spoiler for Avengers below.

The most horrid part was that I KNEW. I'd gone into it all unspoiled but (spoiler tags are for Joe's sake)

I'm beginning to think Whedon, Steven Moffat, Eric Kripke, and J.K. Rowling all conspired to ruin my life.
