Straight from his blog: http://scaryparent.blogspot.com/2008/09/star-wars.html

First off I've never read any of this guys books, but the idea of writing a horror story for Star Wars...brilliant! I hate to get my hopes up too high for this one, but this has a lot of potential.

I love horror stories! A Star Wars horror novel would absolutely blow me away. New and never-used-before always gets me totally excited. I wonder if this'll really pan out? I certainly hope so! What could it be about, hmm? *ponders*

This will be either really good or really, really bad. It depends on what the horror is actually about.

You do have a point there, indeed. It could be excruciatingly painful. As in bad. Umm...I hope the opposite is true. And now that I think about it, I do hope that this doesn't play outside the Star Wars universe we're used to. Like I'm not sure how to explain it, but maybe ya'll know what I mean.

I do; Zombie SW figures have been made and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this. I have contacted the author and asked him if it will fit into to the EU.

I love the fact that getting a hold of the author is so easy...

I was a little worried by the picture he decided upon for the post, but it seems to me that since there are no other SW horror stories he didn't have much else to choose from.

I haven't read any horror novels before, so it should be a new and exciting experience.

Hmm, a horror novel??? Well, I won't pretend I'm not curious. What time period???

Nothing yet; according to Joe Del Rey and Lucas Books are asking him to keep quiet about it for now.

Well some good ideas might be: Anzats (more less Star Wars vampires), Korriban Zombies, a serial killer Shistavanen (more or less a werewolf), or plain old Sith and their evil rituals.

And of course they could always bring something new to the table as well.

Are there Sith force ghosts?

Anyway, I like DS's ideas of Sith rituals that would be cool.

Well everyone but Lucas seems to be on board with the Sith having Force ghosts. They've appeared in the comics and in the games, plus Exar Kun's spirit showed up for the Jedi Academy Trilogy. Thus I'd say they do exist.

I also don't like the idea of Sith Force ghosts. Holocrons yes (which I'm sure some of which you where referring to,). I never thought that the Sith would transform into the Force. Otherwise their choice would go unpunished.
