Well, we've decided to go see Prometheus as a late father's day present. Will be going Thursday, and will post my thoughts (if they're more than just 'wow!' or 'well, that sucked') on Friday.

I do have one question now. I ordered tickets for the 3D version. I did this because I'd read that it was filmed in 3D (and so felt that it would be at least half well done). Do you think this was a good idea?

The 3D was great, definitely worth it IMO.

What was that movie where Nicholas Cage could see the future, or alternate futures or something?

No, not that one, the one where he's actually a psychic. In knowing he knows what happens because of the message, but in the one I'm thinking of, he foresees the future and plans his way around it. But can only see up to two minutes ahead.

Edit: It's called Next. Coincidentally, it's based on a novel by Philip K. Dick. (I didn't just bring up this movie to say his name, honestly)

Can anyone tell me if the second Sherlock Holmes film was any good?

So, wait for the library as opposed to spending money on a rental?

I'm gonna wait to buy it for a really cheap used copy. It just didn't do it for me on the same level, it wasn't as smart, just more of an action movie.

Yeah. It was already going to be odd for me to go back to RDJ as Holmes after getting used to the BBC version.

Eh, RDJ does good still and I love the guy who plays Moriarty but I feel an opportunity was wasted.

I caught a showing of Men in Black 3 tonight. I really liked it! There were some good laughs littered through the movie, and Josh Brolin did a fantastic job portraying a younger version of Agent K. It was certainly a very refreshing addition to the series, and much better than the lackluster Men in Black II that came out 10 years ago. Dare I say that MiB3 was the best of the trilogy? I'm still deciding on that one. Still. it's a good flick and I recommend it. Smile

Hmm, I'll have to see what I think of it. Does the Irene Adler character appear at all?

Briefly but I feel that scene was a waste to. Honestly the first movie was a huge chess match between good and evil which would have worked so much better with Moriarty. Thats the ENTIRE NATURE of the relationship between him and Holmes.

Anybody seen the trailers for this crazy movie:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

The trailer and title are so ridiculous. I guess the producers are going to say that Jeff Davis was a vampire and his hordes of vampires started the civil war, lead by the great vampire General R. E. Lee.

Why do they make trash like this?

Maybe because you've a democrat in office? http://www.cracked.com/article_19402_6-mind-blowing-ways-zombies-vampires-explain-america.html Laughing

That makes sense. The Republicans are old dead guys that need brains and the Democrats just suck.
