Hi guys. I'm purpleparadox (I use that name on a lot of websites). I'm Canadian, and I love music, movies, and books. I'm also a big Lego fan.

I've loved the Star Wars movies for as long as I can remember. I only recently got into EU stuff, though. So far I've read Darth Plagueis, Darth Bane: Rule of Two, The Force Unleashed I and II, and now I'm reading Alliegance. Any other recommendations?

See ya around the forums!

Welcome purpleparadox!

As for the recommendations: Try to read as much as possible, you will form your own opinion on what, who and when is best for you.

Since you're new however, I would recommend that you start with things that don't need prior knowledge of the EU (don't read stuff like Fate of the Jedi series just yet). People usually recommend the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn and I agree with them.

Although you've watched the movie, try Matthew Stover's novelization of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is one of the best SW novels of all times IMO.

And since you've read Rule of Two, you should read the 1st (Path of Destruction) and the 3rd (Dynasty of Evil) part of the Bane trilogy, unless you hated the book.

Choices Of One is the follow up to Allegiance, so if you liked Allegiance then you might want to read that Smile .

Welcome, Paradox! You'll find that by the time we finish recommending novels, you'll end up reading them all, ha. So that's my recommendation. Reference a timeline and just try to read in a loosely chronological order within an era. Like post-RotJ or Clone Wars or whatever.

Glad to have you! Smile

Read anything with Thrawn....

Books to consider, the X-Wing series, Courtship of Princess Leia, Republic Commando series, Death Star - just to name a few.

That's a trick "The-films-Only-count" fans want you to think! It's just one book at a time Wink Best thing to do is check out the Wookieepedia- and check out the Chronology- you can get a feel for which books would most interest you there. Wink

Welcome!

And yes, Wookieepedia is massively helpful. I'd highly recommend reading the "Tales of..." series. Except Bounty Hunters.
