Amen, Joe.

There are no good episodes of Family Guy. Wink

I'm looking forward to it!

I liked the idea of including Catwoman, but was skeptical about casting Anne Hathaway. I like her, but Catwoman is a sex symbol, and I've always associated Ms. Hathaway as being either cute or beautiful, but not quite "sexy". She's hot, but she doesn't ooze sex, which is something I associate with Catwoman. But I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She may impress.

After Halle Berry's film where she was supposed to be the sex symbol I think this deviation will be good for the franchise Wink

@Joe: Also amen. Wink

@Padme: I am so excited for it! I think it's going to be awesome. Maybe I'm being naive, but I just don't think it's possible for a Christopher Nolan Batman movie to be anything less than amazing.

I've never watched that one. I understand that the Halle Berry Catwoman is a wholly different character that happens to have the same name. Therefore, I do not recognize its existence under the Batman chapeau.

Michelle Pfeiffer (sp?) was excellent in the role. Tim Burton really played up the sex with her (and not just via the leather and whip; it was the whole package).

But that's who Catwoman is, especially in the modern times. Not to sound chauvinistic, but that's what the character is. See Arkham City. Or Catwoman #1 (of The New 52).

Dad rented Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengance yesterday.

I was NOT impressed.

The original Ghost Rider was a fun flick. The so called sequel - not so much. For a film that was touted as a sequel, Spirit of Vengance has very little consistency with the original film. The most glaring difference to me was the actor and name change for the Devil. And the plot - well, it was radically different from the original, I'll give them that, but why did they do the Devil's son angle again? It baffles me. The scenes were Danny gives Johnny back his power and where Johnny resurrects Danny had the potential to be great, but they fell completely flat. Oh, and the odd fast motion at several points in the film? Disorienting.

The only thing I really liked about SOV was Johnny riding off surrounded by blue flame at the end.

To sum up: Worth an occasional - and I mean occasional rental - but nowhere near the level of GR1.

Watched Paranormal Activity 3 the other day. It was ... much like the other two films. I can't say I was a big fan of the first two. I like the concept, but they weren't particularly creepy. This movie was much of the same, save in one aspect. I've noticed, in progression, the special effects have become more overt. Whereas in the first movie things looked like so-called 'real-world hauntings'. They were the kind of things you'd hear about. Lights flickering, chandeliers swaying, loud knocking standing still for hours on end. But in the second film, they upped the ante. In this film, even more so.

Lastly, I'm not sure I liked the plot, either. From what little, this story didn't seem to tie in well with what was described in the last two films. It didn't seem to fit, but I may just be remembering it wrong.

It wasn't a particularly bad movie, but I don't feel it was a good example of the home-movie documentary film thingy genre, and not a particularly scary one.

Saw The Dark Knight Rises and I was impressed. I wasn't sure it would be as good as The Dark Knight, but I think it was just as good. Great way to end the series.

There will obviously be more Batman movies, but will there be more continuing this series?

Spoiler for the Dark Knight Rises: It's all a dream...with magic clones. But Batman can't remember. And Al Pacino is the new Alfred.

Also Catwoman is married to a cowboy whose lover is the Joker, so I think that means Batman is gay. I'm not sure, I didn't watch the scene after the credits.

I was going to post a review but now I'm laughing to hard to gather my thoughts. You win the prize for best review online for it so far.

Blast. The spoilers showed up when I went to quote this Sad .

They say that this is the last in this specific series, and I'm inclined to believe them - believe Nolan, at any rate. But, of course, the studio could always change their mind, in favour of more money.
