Rare Star Wars Books

I came across this and had to share. You may or may not be aware that the Sci-Fi Book Club offers a lot of Star Wars books in hardcover that can't be found in hardcover anywhere else. (a lot of times these are books that will collect several stories)

Well way back in the day, they made a hardcover of the first two Lando books but they never made a hardcover of the third one. In spite of such an oversight, one hardcore collector made the third one.

I'm all about custom Star wars, but this is the first time I've seen a SW custom book. Nicely done!

And here I thought this was going to be like the Kotor RPG you can't get anywhere. Kudos! That's awesome!

Alright, keeping the rare Star Wars books thread alive...

I bought a copy of Scourge in hardcover off of eBay for $10. The scifi book club edition. One more step on the hardcover Star Wars library collection.

I also picked up a copy of The Art of Star Wars Galaxies vol 1 and 2. Haven't got those in yet, but I'm anxious. They're suppose to collect all the artwork from the trading card game (the early stuff). The images are suppose to be pretty big, larger that the images on the cards.

I found an Agents of Chaos hardcover from SFBC at Half-Price Books today. I almost bought it, but since I already had both books in paperback, it seemed rather unnecessary.

Isn't that funny? I used to buy all of my books in both formats when I was at the height of my collecting years. But I find it harder and harder to buy even one format these days, much less multiple. Sad

I love book sales. One dollar for the hardback copy of Traitor, a format currently selling on eBay for upwards of $50. Happy day. Cool

I was at Value Village on Saturday, and found that someone donated a bunch of Young Jedi Knights books. Normally I see one or two at a time, but they had a bunch on the shelf. Including the two I'm missing: Crisis at Crystal Reef and Return to Ord Mantell.

I should clarify that I don't own all the YJK books individually; I have the first 11 (out of 14) in the Hardcover collections (The Rise of the Shadow Academy and The Fall of the Diversity Alliance). The third hardcover, Under Black Sun, is way too expensive on eBay, so I picked up Trouble on Cloud City, but couldn't find the other two until last weekend.

A few years ago I was at my local Barnes and Noble and someone had given practically the entire NJO series to the used section. I got like 6 or 7 books that day to finish my collection.
