favourite lightsaber duel

Greetings all. Im new to this and just wandered what was everybodys favourite lightsaber duel from the EU books or comics. would b nice to hear everybodys opinions.

Luke vs Lord Taalon.

That's a tough question. I'm not sure if any lightsaber duel has ever really stood out to me as something really memorable. Some writers write them better than others, but I can't say there's one that stands out in my memory.

Now comics are different. The visual imagery makes it easier to remember duels. The duels in the Clone Wars comics were pretty good. But I think the most memorable duel would go to Darth Maul and that Jedi he fought who had a wooden staff and beat him. Maul came back afterwards with his signature double bladed lightsaber and righted his mistake. Of all the duels, that one sticks with me.

Cheers guys i appreciate the comments. what book was luke vs tallon in. ive jus started readin the books and was hopin to read about a few good lightsaber duels. in the movies i think i liked darth maul vs qui gonn and obi wan the best as darth maul was a bad ass with a double saber.

The most memorable lightsaber duel from the novels is probably the final duel in The Unifying Force, but I'm not sure that counts since the Yuuzhan Vong weren't using lightsabers and Shimrra's usage was less than inspired, to say the least.

In the comics, I like the Vader - Maul duel in "Resurrection."

Well...it depends on how picky we are with the term "duel". Because personally, I shall never forget Ganner's stand against the Vong, which could technically be described as a one to many duel. That was the only written fight that absolutely drew me in, had me literally standing there in the midst of it all, and then made me cry. It was, in a word, epic.

Although...if we're talking an actual duel, one on one, then Mara vs. Yomin Carr on Belkadan, Vector Prime. Carr's last words are seared into my memory for all eternity: "You are worthy. Jedi." Chills, people. It gave me chills. That duel was also epic.

Considering how much I disliked the series, I have to go with Ben vs Luke in the Jedi Temple in Legacy of the Force. Granted it was a training duel and Luke never activated his saber, but the way it happened was highly enjoyable to me.
