But being right on the lake, it's been closed since the storm, and the alternate route takes a good 15 minutes longer because of red lights and traffic and such. So anyway, last night when I left work, Lakeshore Drive was open. Yay! So this morning, I left the house at my regular time, and jumped on Lakeshore when I got to it. Sure enough, the barricades had been removed. Happy day! But then, about halfway down...bam! Barricades! The road seemed to be mocking me: Sucker! Which meant I had to get off of Lakeshore, get back on the alternate route, and like clockwork...15 minutes late. Why would you open half a road and not the other, but fail to indicate such?
