I remember, prior to reading Courtship, of hearing about some love poem that Han recited to Leia. I read the book, pretty excited, looking forward to reading it, but for some reason I couldn't find it! I was sad . _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

Werehunter Knight Joined: 08 Apr 2011 Posts: 299 I was a fan of Courtship. Gave us an interesting twist upon the Force and introduce to very interesting cultures. That only makes it a plus for me.

Mad Wook Knight Joined: 14 Apr 2011 Posts: 350 I don't agree at all. I thought Han and Leia were completely out of character. Leia was just mean to Han and he was a desperate, whiney idiot. I think the book was terrible. Just my opinion though.

Proudfoot Knight Joined: 14 Sep 2012 Posts: 202 Location: London I found Knight Errant a chore to read, it didn't grip me in any way. Like a lot of others have noted, Lando Adventures are shockers. Although I do have a soft spot for Vuffi Ra.

Mad Wook Knight Joined: 14 Apr 2011 Posts: 350 Wow, I thought Knight Errant was great. Miller has some of the most original Sith Lords. Choices of One is still one of my least favorites. His characterization of Luke at that point, 9 months after ANH, was terrible. It didn't vibe with other EU material at all.

Proudfoot Knight Joined: 14 Sep 2012 Posts: 202 Location: London I enjoyed Choices of One, haven't read much Luke between VI and V so I can't really comment though. I think my issue with Knight Errant is that I wasn't feeling the whole setting, it didn't seem Star Wars to me. Maybe if I read the comics and went back to it I would be able to enjoy it more.

Mad Wook Knight Joined: 14 Apr 2011 Posts: 350 If you're a Luke fan, and want good story from that time period, I'd suggest the At War with the Empire Volume 2 and the Other Sons of Tatooine Omnibuses. I think the Empire and Rebellion comic titles were the best portrayal of Luke post-ANH.

I read the Other Sons omnibus and loved it actually. The story arc with Tank was great, I liked the whole good people on both sides aspect. I will have to start At War With The Empire and see what I think.
