AotC before ANH?! Shocked

Uh...yeah. I didn't like ANH that much. I know they didn't have a lot of technology at that time and couldn't do very much but the lightsaber battle sucked and the computer graphics wasn't really that realistic, kind of corny I must say.
The only things that made it worth the watch was Han Solo and Vader.

Ps:@Mara I take it you're REALLY not an AotC fan? Smile

You'll find minds being blown all over the forums when affection for AotC is displayed, JainaSolo. Wink

I read not too long ago a great idea about the order in which to watch the movies:

4-5-1-2-3-6

That way, the revelation that Vader is Luke's father is not spoiled by the prequels, and you still end on a positive note.

JayPetey over at Port Haven actually suggested this order a couple of months ago. Not a bad idea. I'll keep it in mind if I ever find anyone who hasn't seen these movies. If there is anyone. Wink

I call them the newly-alive. Also known as children. When your kids are old enough to watch Star Wars, it's worth checking out.

Okay, the order in which I watched them is as following:

The Phantom Menace
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Attack of the Clones

I watched AotC last because the guy who's DVDs I borrowed didn't know it was pirated and apparently when the pirate downloaded the movie the commentary was on, so through the entire movie, instead of regular dialogue I heard the commentary by GL! I was so annoyed I didn't even watch the whole movie! Evil or Very Mad I borrowed it from another guy about two months earlier and FINALLY got to watch AotC.
I also went to see TPM in the theater when it came out in 3D. What really sucked was that about half of the film was in 3D. My friend and I literally took our glasses of and sat through the other half without the glasses! The pod race was cool in 3D though! Smile

Too late. I ruined my kids real early. Episode 3 is the only one they haven't seen dozens of times and they're only 4 & 5.

A lot of people say this but the 3D was fine for me, and I saw it three times. Weird. Confused

But I will tell you this, I saw footage of AotC in 3D at Celebration VI, and the effect is much more pronounced for that one. I can guarantee you that it will be better than TPM's 3D. Cool

Hmmm, thanks for telling me that! Now I am at least sure that I won't be wasting my money! I haven't been to the Celebration so I wouldn't know. Smile

My girlfriend and I saw TPM 3D on the release day at IMAX.

There was a couple sitting next to us who left after about ten minutes, I heard them say this.

"This isn't a new one, I've seen it before."

Wow, none of my local theaters offered it in IMAX! Sad

And that comment is hilarious. I wonder if they were joking... Confused Laughing

A new one?! I wish! Sad

Ps: it would be so cool if there could be another episode, but that would totally mess up the whole saga.

It wasn't an IMAX production, just regular 3D on the massive screen at the IMAX cinema.

They weren't joking, they were actually pretty pissed off!

Wow. Although...there is a guy at work who didn't know who Darth Vader was. Confused

Ok... even I knew who Vader was before I watched Star Wars. Vader is like Star Wars's trademark. If you say the name Darth Vader in front of my friends they would reply with: "Oh yeah. He's that guy with the suit and the funny breathing on that Star Wars movie, right?"
