It very well could. However, SOE is putting a lot of effort in to a game that seems to be doomed. I have a felling they have something planned.

Oh...is it going to be that long before the thing is released? I wasn't even thinking about that. Well...in that case...a lot can happen! I just might be able to give it a shot in the future. Right now a major thing would be the fees stopping me, yeah. But 2-3 years from now...who knows? Smile

Well, some are actually saying late 2009 could be when we see the game released, others 2010. Only something official can truly tell though.

But MMO's usually tend to be delayed a lot, like this year's big MMOs, Age of Conan and Warhammer Online, which were both supposed to be released last year and Warhammer probably wouldn't have been released even this year if they wouldn't have done a KOTOR II kind of cuts in it. So, it's best to add a year or so to the MMO release dates, so that the disappointment wouldn't be so huge when the eventual news of it's release date slipping farther in the future comes out.

If Galaxies is to live, it would need serious graphical improvements and far more publicity than it is getting today.

Indeed it would. In fact, it'd also need to go back to its old combat system.

Well, there is a good reason why their are monthly fees; they have people working on the game, updating it, talking with players, etc., every day. They need to get paid too Wink

As much as I hate the fact that KOTOR will be an MMO, I am still looking forward to it. Of course if they follow the traditional pay-for-play method, then forget it.

Nothing about Bioware is traditional.... Besides, we probably are going to see Kotor 3 as well..

Lets hope, because as much as i love star wars, paying 60-120 dollars a year to play a game just seems wrong. I guess we will have to wait and see (and cross fingers Wink )

I agree. That's one major reason I don't play them. Not to mention the time that runs away and never returns when I'm not looking...

Will you have to pay for it?

No one knows yet. However, most likely you will have to pay monthly. Almost all MMO's charge per month. There are very few that dont.
