Crucible will be beyond awesome. After all these years of huge-cast, multi-family Star Wars series, I wanted to focus back on our three original heroes for one more exciting adventure

Because they haven't been the primary focus of the last 18 main books or anything...

I think they're just shrinking it down a bit to just the big three. It may go better that way, we'll see when my library puts it up for check-out.

@Mad Wook: That'd just anger me. Anymore things that acknowledge TCW and especially the arc that rendered the 'Chosen One' prophecy pointless just angers me and if they pull that it would probably be the thing to finally put me completely off of SW.

The arc didn't render the Chosen One prophecy pointless. However, Denning may have misinterpreted it, like so many others.

I like how even though Luceno was forced to reference TCW in the Plagueis book, he also included nods to COPL's version of the Nightsisters.

I'm starting to better about this. It sounds like it could be pretty cool actually.

I don't want this book to deal with Mortis. It would be nice to start cleaning up the mess that continuity is in, but I'd rather have a fun adventure book (like it's sounding like this book is trying to be) than a continuity band-aid.

I really hope they stick with the original cover art rather than going with... this new...thing:

Blah. That is all. Except to say that Leia's eyes look like the eyes of an Egyptian princess. Or a princess from one of those really old sci-fi shows. 'Mwah! I am Princess Araknid! Fear me O Captain Hero Awesome! Fear me for lasers shoot out of my eyes!'

I dislike the new "zoomed in" cover as well, the last one made them look old but cool, this just screams we're old now

Wow, this is bad. But bet your life, they did the same thing with Order 66. If they've released this as new possible cover art, this will be the final. Sad

Remember the Sacrifice cover and everyone screaming that it was ridiculous because Mara looked 35?

Anyway, I like the cover and the zoomed in closeups. I think they look age and experience appropriate.

As you can see from my avatar, I certainly didn't mind. Wink

I didn't mind the Mara cover, but I thought the original Crucible cover was better. I saw the age and experience worn on them, the closeups take away from how large that originally looked. This new cover just looks busy to me.

I didn't mind the cover either. I'm just saying I saw a lot of screaming about it. Now it's about the Crucible cover. Star Wars fans are never happy.

I didn't like the original cover, but I think I like this one slightly better. I'm not sure why.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

The cover looks like they got Hamill, Ford, and Fisher to pop their heads in one of those cardboard posing posters... Laughing
