Today I splurged and bought Prometheus and Coheed & Cambria's new album The Afterman: Ascension. I'm pleased Very Happy

Movie - 7.5/10 (great but not as accessible if you aren't a huge mythology buff or a franchise fan)
ALbum - 9/10 (just holy crap)

re: movie marathons: Beyond occasional double features, the biggest movie marathon I ever did was The Matrix trilogy. I was still in High School, I had the night off (with my parents out of town), and The Matrix: Revolutions had just come onto DVD. I owned #1 already, so I rented the other two, bought a big bag of Smart Food^TM White Cheddar Popcorn and a 2L bottle of Pepsi Blue (anyone else remember that? Loved it.) Good times.

When I was in First Year, I also did a marathon of the show Dead Like Me. 29 episodes. 24 hours total. Stopped only to eat and pee. Good times.

re: Accents: Sorry, Life, but in Canada was learn the accents on keyboards early. It's important for learning French. By the time I was 12 I knew how to make most of the accents using Alt and a combination of Numpad keys.

éâäåçêëèïîìÄÅÉæÆôöòûù That's Alt and 130 through 151.

Aha! Thanks, Taral. I never learned how to use the numpad to get accented letters - whether that was because they never taught us, or my own inattentiveness, I don't know.

I don't know about where you live, but they don't teach it here. I discovered them when I was about 12. Talk about magic. Wink

I grew up in Ontario (English Canada), but went to French schools (all subjects were taught in French). For the most part we had US keyboards, and so we had to learn how to put in accents when typing (in Computer class).

I had a grilled cheese sandwich for the first time in around 2-2.5 years. I'm pretty happy right now.

Something about a biscuit and a library I presume? Sorry I don't speak French and I'm only guessing. Very Happy

So that would be my question: Taral, do you speak French?

The dog ate a cookie (or biscuit) at the library Smile

Yes I do Smile My entire Primary and Secondary education was in all-French schools, and I went to University in Ottawa (our nation's capital, which is fully bilingual) where I stayed.

It made my trip to Star Wars: Identities a lot easier Smile

Oh, ok!
My very handy French pocket dictionary didn't explain tenses! Wink

I'm jealous of your bilingual abilities. I can understand Spanish well enough, but it's a struggle to speak it.

I wish I could understand another more common language! The only other language I can speak besides English is Afrikaans. It's like another, more advanced form of Netherlands which they speak mostly in Southern Africa. I mean if you can speak Afrikaans you can understand Netherlands and vice versa.
I can also understand a little Tswana, another African language, but I'm pretty sure I've forgotten all about it by this time! Smile

Ps: and I started to learn how to write Aurebesh. Padmé (with emphasis on the é)inspired me. Wink

Sign language! Oh my...
I 'm thinking of taking Latin lessons next year even though people don't speak it anymore. I know a few phrases and a lot of insults (trust me you don't wanna know) but I want to learn how to speak it fluently like my grandmother. She's the Master!

I have always wanted to learn a language that no one speaks! I don't know why as it would be slightly useless, maybe its that longing to run into that one other person for the wow moment!

All I can speak outside of English is a few Dutch words (mostly humorous phrases Wink ).
