Yes, movies every couple of years have been mentioned. My sense is that they will focus on more "side" characters. Man, I'd love to see some Kotor or TOR stuff. Werehunter Knight Joined: 08 Apr 2011 Posts: 299 I have to say that the reaction I've seen here and elsewhere on the net, reminds me of the doom and gloom that was being spouted when Disney bought Marvel. Yet now several years later, none of what people were bitching about happening actually happened. Instead we got some more kick ass films and the comics are still going strong. They even bumped up the animation department, the one place Warner/DC was far better.

So, no, they really couldn't have gone with any other Jedi alone (though they did include quite a few new Jedi). On the Disney Princess point, I have no problem with Disney using Leia, because they've moved away from that stereotype of 'Disney Princess' in recent years. And I don't think they'd replace Mara with a damsel in distress, because they don't do - or at least, not solely - damsels in distress any more. They have veritable a***-kicking characters. Although I've not seen the Avengers movie, the woman Scarlett Johannson played was, I gather, a solid character. Brave. Pirates. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

Best case scenario, we get a split universe, and get the EU and the new movies, (though I suppose it's possible the new movies would fit in but I doubt it) and worst case the EU comes to an end. Now we all knew it would have to end eventually, and at least this way it could go out the way it came in. With movies. Though maybe I'm just going crazy from shock.
