Taral-DLOS EUC Staff Joined: 23 Nov 2010 Posts: 1240 Location: Ontario, Canada The missus and I went to see the broadway version of Beauty and the Beast. It was so good! It's based on the Disney movie (which is my wife's favourite Disney movie). Some of the songs were different, to make it more musical-like (individual characters needing to emote to the audience what would, in the movie, be done with dialogue and visuals). But some of the trademark songs are there, including Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, the intro, and the song about Gaston. The object characters (Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, etc.) were people wearing costumes that were halfway between what they might wear in real-life and the objects they represented. It came across that they were supposed to be enchanted objects Be Our Guest was a massive song and dance number. Brilliant! If Beauty and the Beast comes to your city: go see it! In three weeks' time we have tickets for Pride and Prejudice Not a musical. But stage fun! Truth universally acknowledged, am I right? _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours. Eventually, I decided to track down the error logs to gain insight into the problem. When I found them, this is what they had to say: "Tried 4 times to start in 30 seconds. I give up." Regardless of how one feels about the outcome of the election, civil rights were just improved in the US. Not every election can say that. _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours. Also using threads to talk/debate about subjects reserved for the Med Grove (and thus circumvent the Med Groves closure) will not be tolerated. So please keep this in mind that discussion can only go so far. This is a place to share things you are happy about, not debate with members the pros/cons of what has made them happy. (this is a general statement aimed at keeping the peace and not targeted at any individual implicitly or explicitly) _________________
