Einstein once said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. With regards to Topspin 3, I disagree. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results. I put myself into the correct position, I wait for the ball to bounce, I set the angle for the corner - and then press either X, B or A to swing the racquet. And yet, often the racquet doesn't swing. My minime just stands there like an idiot, and I lose quite a few important points because of it .
In other news, my sister has got into Magic: The Gathering, and I'm being forced to play. Which I don't mind, really. And I happen to have beaten her on the first game (mainly because I read the advice paper thing, played the demo on Steam, and she didn't). It's just funny because she's often condescending to geeky things ... and she's playing a geeky game!
In other other news, I'm also playing ... ahem, that, er, that collecting game on handheld devices, the one I'm slightly ashamed of. Starts with a P. The Ruby iteration. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
