You shouldn't skip Mercy Kill. It's a really good book. Annihilation, eh, I'd give it a miss. I didn't like it.

The only X-Wing book I read was the first one, whereas I'm playing SWTOR and loving it. More interested in the era and the story potential.

Follow up from my good thing...
Now that the exams are over I have absolutely no idea what to do for the rest of the year. I don't have to go to school anymore for the rest of the year and I finished Gone with the Wind (the book) yesterday. Now that it's all over, it feels as if I just completed this humongous task/mission and now I'm finished, done, kaput! I just hope I can find something else to occupy me for the rest of the year. I like to have a special, personal mission.

The Halo 4 Xbox is honestly a pretty decent deal right now, if you dig that kind of thing go for it.

My gripe: I have to finish a project, then pay close to $50 bucks to get it formatted and laminated. All to bring it to class Monday so my teacher can mark a check by my name and coo, "Cute!".

Also, I work on Thanksgiving, followed by a 5am shift Black Friday. *sigh*

I'm still at work. I thought I wouldn't mind, but I'm exhausted. And I get to do it again tomorrow night! But longer. Sad

One should refrain from pulling over on a police car. Neutral

Perhaps it's just a local dialect thing and it got lost in translation with me but what do you mean "on a police car"?

Perhaps "cutting off" is a better phrase, but that isn't quite right, either. I mean: Clicking on your blinker (turn signal thing), looking in the mirror, seeing nobody, pulling into the right lane, but there is a police car there. You pull back to the left, he pulls to the right, all is well. Except...it's a police car.

Anyway, we call it "pulling over on someone", when no accident occurs, but you mistakenly force someone off the road. It's usually okay. Somebody might yell at somebody, but everyone eventually goes on their merry way. Of course...this situation was slightly different.

It must be a regional thing because I've never heard it called "pulling over on someone". "Cutting off" is how I've always heard it referred to. And in a lot of places it leads to a lot more than yelling.

Btw, don't they teach looking over your shoulder anymore? I'm honestly asking this because we were taught to not just rely on the mirrors, but to look over our shoulder too because of blind spots.

Yes, and I most certainly looked. It's not like I did it on purpose. But you can't always see someone. Glare from the sun, blind spot, or just honest-to-goodness not seeing somebody. I always look in my mirror and then look over my shoulder, but I didn't see him.

Needless to say, I didn't get a ticket. He just told me to be careful. So it kind of rattled me, but it all turned out okay. Smile
