Yep, just as I thought. After all the flip flopping will-they-won't-they that's been going on all spring, summer, and fall, the BBC has officially announced that "Merlin" will bow out from the BBC network with a two part finale on 22 and 29 Dec., perfectly bracketing Christmas Day.

Sorry to crush your hopes, Padme, but it was obvious to me weeks ago that Series 5 would be the end. Now we just have to wait and see if the finale is truly worthy of ending the show.
