I have a feeling my favorite Bond is yet to come.

Craig did a fine job, but I can't shake the "Bond isn't blonde" thing off.

I like to watch a trilogy of movies with a related theme. I was thinking of going for a Clive Barker/ Lovecraft Mythos trio.

Saw Breaking Dawn, Part 2 last night.

Also, I took two dates to the movie. Two married women. Granted, one was married to me, and the other was her best friend (whose husband didn't want to go). But I call it taking two ladies to see Twilight with me. Win.

A movie that I honestly am clueless about why anyone would want to see it:

Les Miserables 2012.

I don't have a problem with the movie, the thing is I already saw this movie.

Everyone complains that Hollywood does nothing but remakes, and then they go and see them. I don't get it. Can someone tell me why? I'm not going to belittle you for it, I really would like to know what the appeal is.

Dude, you understand that the previous version(s) of the movie weren't the musical, right?

The 2012 Les Mis is the musical version, as first performed in 1980. The songs are lifted straight from the stage, with only differences in cinematography (stage and film don't translate perfectly) and performance (there's a youtube feature about how they let the actors do their thing and not just replicate what the original casts did.

In conclusion, you did not already see this movie. You saw a movie that had the same story, executed in a significantly different (and significantly lamer) way.

Also, this version has Wolverine. The previous version had Qui-Gon Jinn. This may be a Star Wars forum, but Wolverine > Qui-Gon Jinn.

But OMG! I already have my plans to see Les Mis! Best thing evar!!!

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of musicals but for people who don't live in larger cities and who didn't get the chance to go see the live show I can understand why they'd want to see it in theatres. For some it may be the only reason people see it, simply because they haven't gotten the chance to yet and may not otherwise. There's a difference between the endless flow of Hollywood remakes and sequels (though some aren't bad, so people should stop complaining about everything) and stuff like this which is just an adaptation. Nothing wrong with it and like with all movies if its not something people are into then they shouldn't see it.

There shall be no hating of Les Mis here! I have been dreaming of this movie for years! I dream a dream in time gone by....when hope was high and life worth living....I dreamed that love would never die...I dreamed that God would be forgiving!

*ahem* I went and saw Red Dawn with a friend for laughs. And laugh we did.

I'm really stoked for Les Mis and the singing, even if the Liam Neeson version holds a huge place in my heart for being effing awesome.
