It'll probably continue. The new films are most likely going to be filmed in 3D so it may be more necessary to continue just to keep the films consistent. Wink

Plus, it's an opportunity to make more money, as well as generate excitement for the new film.

Imagine if they released the whole OT in 2015, and they'd all play right into Episode VII...

Personally I hope they don't relese 7-9 in IMAX only. If given a choice I'd go watch a 2D movie. The last thing I've watched in 3D was Avatar. I can't wear those stupid glasses over my own glasses, so I have to sit in the mid-section of the cinema. I like sitting in the back row, where I'm safe from being attacked from behind, by some pop-corn throwing idiot.

The OOOOOOooooOOOO effect of a 3D wears off pretty quickly anyway.

They'll definitely offer the sequel trilogy in 2D, it would be foolish not to.

The release dates for Attack of the Clones 3D and Revenge of the Sith 3D have been confirmed to be Sept. 20th, 2013 and Oct. 4th, 2013 respectively.

Why so close? They wait two years almost, then release them a month apart? Confused

Not even a month. Exactly two weeks.

I'm in favor of it, though. I'd rather this than have them every February. Plus, who wants to wait a whole year for RotS after watching the abomination that is AotC? Laughing

Point. I suppose they were being sympathetic.

I think it's a weird choice on their part. Even when they rereleased the OT for the 20th anniversary, they were a month apart.

This doesn't even make sense to me in regards to getting all the OT 3D releases out before Episode 7 release.

That is a weird choice. I can imagine a significant portion of people will be opting out of seeing both and paying extra for 3D when they are that close together.

Also...you know...we could then have the option of just skipping AotC and not suffering through it...

I'll probably see both. I liked AOTC. Except the worst love scene ever in the entire history of love scenes. Very Happy

Haha don't you mean the worst love scenes in the history of love scenes? Because there wasn't really a good one in that movie. To me if they chopped out anything that wasn't related to Ewan it'd be a fun, enjoyable movie that isn't brilliant but beyond entertaining.
