@Caedus: I used to love Lily, but it seems like lately the jokes about her wanting/flirting with Robin have been increasing. I never found those kinds of jokes funny, but even less so now that the character is married with a child.

@Alan: I'm caught up!

Ya that's getting weird. I think someone found it funny once so they keep rolling with it. It just weirds me out that she's so...pointless right now. She used to be the overlooked moral compass, now she's just a joke like all of them.

It is weird, there's so basis for it. And, if anything, the jokes were less frequent when the characters were younger. Now it's just way out of place. The only time I've really enjoyed Lily this season was when she was teaching Marshall to dispense advice.

See yes! If they had that Lily out more often I'd be behind it!

Exactly! Tell me again why I'm not a creative consultant or something?

Because that would be a positive creative move for the series and right now they seem very much against that...

So, Caedus, my friend.....what did you think of this week's episode? I rather enjoyed it.

Story is moving forward, characters were in character, they built to a real moment for the series, and they made Ted the focal point and cornerstone of the group again. They succeeded on all counts.

In other HIMYM news they greenlit a 9th season so...crap.

Jason Segal held out so long. A lot of my guess is that he held out for everyone to get paid more, because they raised payment for the whole cast on this decision. I just wish it'd end, but a lot of people are curious and think they may introduce the mother at the end of the season and have her for a year as a character. I've always thought that'd be cool so who knows, maybe it'll work out.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see, but I'm just tired of the whole setup, y'know?
