I think this might be the one for me. I love the idea of Superman not being accepted by the world. Queen Padmè Skywalker Master Joined: 17 Jul 2009 Posts: 4931 Location: Sitting in front of a fireplace on Naboo exchanging pathetic dialogue with Anakin I'll have to see it before I can pass judgment, but it can't be worse than Superman Returns, surely. _________________ All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out. So this is how liberty dies....with thunderous applause. Those without swords can still die upon them The world is a mess and I just need to rule it.

I've never been a big fan of Superman, so this was always going receive a 'meh' from me. Having said that, I do like the premise, and the trailer looked kind of interesting. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

Maybe it's just the trailer making it look like it's One Tree Hill, but I don't want a gritty and realistic Superman. That's part of the reason why SR sucked. Even if it wasn't, but especially because it is, and that's his style, I can't help but think of Watchmen and that is all wrong for Superman. Check out the issue Superman: Grounded by MJS and Roberson. It really reminds me of this trailer and is one of the best issues I've ever read out of any Superman books, and far better than anything we've had for a year or so. _________________ Perfection is a lifelong pursuit requiring sacrifice.
