Ah, I'd forgotten that you're South African. I had a friend who was (and presumably still is) South African, who had a Danish friend. Though there were some difficulties, they found that they could communicate with each other in their own language, and be understood - as well as be able to speak to a Dutch guy they knew, again in their own languages.

I have pictures, I will share once I get home. And I got his autograph. Kind of a gruff dude, but...guess you get tired of the nerdy fans after awhile. We just can't help it. Very Happy

I'm not sure why Darth Vader was hiding behind the Chewie cutout...it's not like we couldn't see him...

These guys were pretty awesome, especially when they themselves started geeking out about taking their picture with the local news anchor that was present.

Getting your picture taken cost extra, so I didn't pay, but I thought this was a nice one.

This was such a powerful moment in the saga, plus it was the only black and white, which I prefer. Love it. Smile

So as of the past few days I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 (I just don't take enough pictures to need the s3 with its hi-def phone), a black case with the symbol for the Deathly Hallows on it, a heavy shock absorbant case, a Darth Vader case (on the way), and 2 new albums. It was...a splurging weekend.

That's really cool Mara! Peter is the only autograph I had for a very long time - he seemed nice when I met him, but this was close to five years ago now.

I just had a most wonderful vacation!

Caribbean Cruise with my wife's family (her parents and her two sisters).

Left from Miami, did Great Stirrup Cay (an island in the Bahamas that I think is pretty much owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines), Ocho Rios (in Jamaica), Grand Cayman, and Cozumel (Mexico).

Saw the Mayan ruins of Tulum (but got really seasick trying to get there).

Went ziplining and river tubing.

Swam with stingrays.

Got to hold baby turtles at a turtle farm (squee!)

Drank beer on a hot beach.

And otherwise relaxed in an environment over 50 degrees (celsius) warmer than home.

There is this guy who likes me (he even admitted it), who apparently really wants to get my attention. He sits next to me in every class, walks with me to every class, texts me every day. You get the idea.
He knows I'm a Star Wars fan (just like every one in the entire school knows Razz

) and now that he tries to get my attention he starts talking about things that I like (Star wars).
One problem.
He hasn't watched a single Star Wars movie in his life.
Now he spends all his free time on Wookieepedia! In free periods he goes on the website and before he starts reading, he announces the character/place's name (obviously to let me know "hey! I'm busy with Star Wars stuff! You like it?") but before he starts reading I have already named all the basics like occupation background etc. For instance:

He: C3PO!
Me: See-Threepio, human cyborg relations, protocol droid and fluent in over 6 million forms of communicaction. Created on 112 BBY and later rebuilt by Anakin Skywalker, better known as the Sith Lord: Darth Vader.
He: How do you remember all this stuff?!? Shocked

This whole thing amuses me a lot! Laughing
