This was an amazing episode and a great conclusion to a great arc.

Well according to Dave Filoni there won't be anymore kiddy shows this season. The droid arc was the last of them.

Excellent. I've grown tired of the inconsistent feel when we have things like Mortis and the Droid arc colliding stylistically. Going for a more adult feel could be a good mood for them, this Maul thing wound up working out. I'll continue to read what you guys think and i might get back into the show because of this news.

I agree about the violence. I thought that's why it had a Friday night timeslot in the first place, because it wasn't aimed at young children. The move to Saturday mornings kind of killed that notion, though.

It's like the PT, though. First you have Jar-Jar, then you have people getting dismembered and burned alive. Lucasfilm already has a record of being inconsistent with "family friendliness".

Dave Filoni did an interview with IGN covering this last arc of TCW.

Dunno what to think of this episode. Awesome fight and all, but I can't get behind those two lightsabers. It is bad enough that Palp uses one at all after his "A Jedi's weapon" -speech in RotJ, but two at the same time? "Guy sounds like a machine!" It just smacks of gimmicky flashiness, of the kind old wrinkles should be above. It is like when they gave Ahsoka two sabers just in time for her to fight both Obi and Ani. Unnecessary in a show where people just stand around until it is dramatically appropriate for them to attack anyway. Kicking butt with one saber would have been way more demonstrative of Palp's power than pulling the Yoda lightshow he did in this episode.

Also, what was said of pacing, I agree. This should have had two episodes. Heck, the last episode should have been two episodes. Damn droids in the Void.
