After reading the "least favorite novel" thread, I thought it would be nice to list the favorites. My favorite is Heir to the Empire.

I love Star by Star. I think that one is my favourite.

Other than that the Thrawn Trilogy are undoubtedly great reads, I also really enjoyed the Han Solo Trilogy by Ann Crispin.

For me it's kind of a toss up Darth Plagueis was amazing! Sidious is my favorite. But I honestly loved Specter of the Past / Vision, because of the way Luke amd Mara finally realized their love for each other.

I liked Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future, but I didn't like how Luke and Mara realized their love. It seemed very sudden. I mean, Luke told Mara he loved her, and proposed marriage, on the same page.

Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Matthew Stover is still my favorite Star Wars novel. Knight Errant and Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil are in my top five.

I honestly have no idea. There are many EU books I like, but none immediately jumps out as being the best.

Well, I can't pick a favorite, but I'm really enjoying the Han Solo Trilogy, I'm on Rebel Dawn right now.

I like to think that the best EU novel hasn't been written yet. Wink Razz

I'll second this. Its an incredible book and possibly the deepest, best written SW novel ever released.

My first thought is Heir to the Empire, but since I haven't read it since it first came out (get off my lawn!) I'm not sure how it would read today.

I think Rogue Squadron might be my favorite.

The X-wing books. All of them are so well written that I don't know which one of them to choose.

My two favourites are Traitor and the Episode III novelization.

The Episode IV novelization is amazing too, just because it's so different from the movie! (based a lot on old-draft scripts and concept art).

Darth Plagueis is up there too, but I feel it can't stand by itself. There are too many scenes that reference specific things in other titles, to the point that I feel you're missing out if you didn't read Darth Maul (comic), Cloak of Deception, Darth Maul: Saboteur, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, etc. etc. I just feel like I needed to know too much going in to really enjoy it (that said, I knew those things, so I really enjoyed it). Very Happy
